We closed on the house last Thursday; Friday morning they started work on the house while Alex and I were at work. In one morning they had already taken down the wallpaper in the kitchen and started painting in the master bedroom. Plus, my dad brought over tools and supplies galore. How great is that?

Alex and I had purchased paint Thursday night (primer, master bedroom, guest bathroom and ceiling paint) so we picked up where my parents left off earlier in the day. Friday night we taped off the master bedroom and did a 2nd coat in one of the very RED closets in the master.

Check these red babies out... they were so dark!
At one point, this day seemed like it would never arrive! We were supposed to close the week before, but due to some random circumstances, it didn't happen that way. But what can you do, besides go with the flow (and grumble a little)?

Here we are outside the lawyer's office, happy as can be, with the K-E-Y-S!
After the papers were signed and the keys officially ours, we decided to go shopping! Not just any shopping... RUG shopping! I've been dream shopping for rugs online for months and now the time was here to actually start buying. We decided to go to Gaffney, SC to the Rug & Home store to check out the sale they had going on. BTW... looking at rugs is no joke. It's a bit tiring, which is comical to admit. Alex did most of the "turning" of the rugs on hooks and I did the looking and deciding. We left with 2 rugs for the den and living room, paid for by gift cards we saved from the wedding. I knew those would be clutch one day! Thank you to our friends and family that provided them! :)

Here are the two rugs we chose... What do you think?

We arrived back to the new house around 8:40pm to drop these off and nearly immediately, trick-or-treaters started ringing the door bell... over and over again. What a great sign for next year's turn out, although we were SO not prepared for this year (actually, we were, but the candy was at our apartment)! I never imagined kids would still be out that late. I promise we will be ready in 2014! :)

My husband Alex and I met on October 31, 2008. Fast forward 5 years and we just closed on our new house together on October 31, 2013. Pretty ironic (and cool), huh? We think so.

Alex and I were married on May 11, 2013 in Spartanburg, SC. In August we decided to start looking at homes and thus the exciting, stressful, fun and maddening experience of home buying began. I am thrilled to be able to say it all ended well, but the process wasn’t the easiest. Thankfully, our trusty realtor and my parents and sister helped keep us focused on the end result – a home that will truly be ours!

Our first house payment is due December 1, 2013, which will be a big change from the “free” home we’ve had for so long… I work as an apartment community manager, with the major perk of a beautiful free apartment. However, free also has its challenges. I have loved living on-site but it’s time for us to regain our privacy (and a back yard). We will continue living in our apartment until the work is done (for the most part) at the new house. I feel beyond blessed to even have that option!

So back to our new house… We got the keys on Halloween day – Thursday, October 31, 2013. Shopping and renovating began immediately! Now I’ll be keeping you updated as we go along. ~*~LCA~*~http://www.blogger.com/profile/01452882436703463158noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-39843448637216501.post-56695495151100406702011-01-31T22:40:00.000-05:002011-01-31T22:40:07.927-05:00New exciting project!

I think so!So, my mom is awesome and bought me a stove-top grill/griddle for Christmas. I'm in love with this thing and have now decided that every home should have one. So go out and get yours tonight, ok? :) It goes across 2 burners (you can use 1 or both, depending on the size of your meal) and pretty evenly distributes the heat, even across the middle.

It's pretty much just a way better version of a George Foreman grill - easier to clean, faster to use and just as "healthy", depending on what exactly you're cooking. :) It doesn't even need any non-stick spray to produce fantastic results. It's basically bringing the indoor taste of grilled foods we all love right to your stove top!

I've owned it a month as of today and so far I've made bacon on it, pancakes, grilled hamburgers, bratwursts and chicken. It's tha bomb! All of the food has been super yummy and for the most part, it cleans up super easily. I'll admit, cleaning the grates on the grill side are quite tedious, but that's what men were invited for, right?! :) hehe jk.

My favorite thing I'm made on it so far is turkey bacon. It's one of my new fav breakfast foods, seeing as how it doesn't have quite as much fat and is often the best price (because many coupons are available to encourage you to purchase it!). I normally make it in the microwave on my special bacon plate (also thanks to mom!) but this bacon tastes amazingly better on the stove top griddle! You must try it! I kept it on a pretty long time so it got semi-burned and it was yummmmmyyyyyyyy that way! The fat drains right off into the side wells and the grittle side is especially easy to clean up in a snap and reuse. My 2nd fav has been making mini-hamburgers. They are so darn cute and cook up in probably 1 min per side. A quick and enjoyable dinner.

I used this contraption every day while we were "snowed in" and we had great gormet "Lauren style" breakfasts and dinners. Thanks, mom!~*~LCA~*~http://www.blogger.com/profile/01452882436703463158noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-39843448637216501.post-13770004578035282732011-01-23T22:39:00.002-05:002011-01-23T22:57:32.807-05:00Bravo to the BRAVO TV Network!I'll be honest: Bravo TV takes up most of my TV watching time when I'm home alone or allowed to control the remote. From The Real Housewives phenomenon, Tabatha's Salon Takeover, to Flipping out, Project Runway, their brilliant cooking shows, Millionaire Matchmaker and sooo many more amazing shows, I think it's time they feature something out of South Carolina.

So, in honor of the net-to-last show of season 3 of RHOA... (and the finale of Beverly Hills that just aired)...

Dear Bravo TV:

I was doing some thinking today and I believe it's time that South Carolina had it's turn in your TV spotlight. Now, although it's up to you what type of show you choose to do based out of our lovely state, I would like to suggest 2 options:

1) The Real Housewives of Greenville (or if you must, Columbia, but give a shout out to us G'ville ladies!). Trust me, we have plenty of interesting ladies to cover in our area. Really, the best spin on it would be ladies that are either about to be a so-called housewife or are just young professionals. More like RHW "the next generation".

2) Rentalvention... or Leasin' Out... or Community... something covering the multi-family housing industry and rental market in Greenville, SC. We can have our own version of The Young and the Restless!!! I promise that enough happens in one week in this industry that it could fuel a show for months, seeing as how it normally takes 1 week in TV land to complete 1-2 days in the real world. :)

Anyhoos... contact me when you're ready to talk business! I'd love to consult on and be in some of your shows!

xoxo,
Lauren

Well, those are my random thoughts for the night... now it's time to watch this season finale (I mean, almost season finale... getting too head of myself here!)! Thanks for keeping your loyal fans entertained night after night! Even if some of the drama is scripted, we all still love it.~*~LCA~*~http://www.blogger.com/profile/01452882436703463158noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-39843448637216501.post-12743230288109214362011-01-23T00:13:00.001-05:002011-01-23T00:16:29.928-05:00NERDS: The answer to all things creative?These days my head is swimming with ideas of how to get my art business booming. My interests fall into so many categories, it's hard to even get started. As those of you who are following my blog and FineArtbyLC page on Facebook have seen, I'm mostly doing colored pencil drawings and paintings. What you may not know is that I'm also working on making jewelry and making art out of unique mediums. I'm really looking for the 2-3 things that are really ME in an artistic form.

I'm really, truly addicted to the Internet, whether on my phone or lap top, so I use this love of technology to help me find my artistic way. I love love love to research artistic sites, coupon sites, etc. Anything and everything that can help me either a) do an art project/learn a new process, 2) save me money or 3) teach me a new recipe to use in the kitchen. Today I came across a project that marries two of my loves together... art and food.

NERDS have long been my favorite candy (well, Sourpatch Kids, too!), especially the pink/purple ones, strawberry and grape. In early October I went on a hunt to find all the flavors available in my area, which was actually quite a challenge! Actually, Greenville, SC doesn't really offer much of a variety and seems to hide these delicious creatures from its citizens! (If you're looking, though, I can normally find them at BP and Spinx gas stations, otherwise you can get the rainbow packs at most big chain stores). Luckily on a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC to see my bestie I came across a plethora of options in a random gas station for a bathroom break. I nearly bought them out...ha! The pic here shows my FAV flavors that I found there. Needless to say, they didn't last long, but they were seriously enjoyed by me and Alex! (BTW... I'm sooo glad he shares my passion for these, although we do fight over them!! ha!) Since then I haven't seen many of these flavors again... if you have, please share! :)

So back to the moral of this little blog... someone read my heart's desire and posted an article on making art (specifically, portraits) out of NERDS!!! Clearly I'm excited by this, seeing as how I'm writing on and on about it, so I decided to share it with you. I'm totally down to do this project first off because NERDS clearly rock my socks, but also I bought several boxes of the rainbow ones a few months back in an effort to fulfill my cravings for the strawberry/grape ones that I couldn't find at the time and never ate them (they just aren't the same all thrown in the same package - I like them in their own little compartments). Glad I kept them for a rainy day, though!

I got this info off of CreateProjects.com by a gentleman named Andrew Salomone, who makes artwork derived from popular culture. He is also a college art professor.... go figure! Here's what he's done below:

So all I need now is a great idea for a humorous piece of art to show my lighter side... I'll need to do some thinking on this one! Any ideas from you readers on what you'd like to see???

This is the first freezer I've ever had that doesn't have an ice maker, so I use the regular run-of-the-mill blue ice trays. (Although we have been promised one will be installed come March --- yessss!! A dream come true for an ice addict and fanatic such as myself!)

Ice Spike found in my freezer last night!

Anyway... back to the point, which is: Ice Spikes are pretty darn cool. I get at least one almost every time I make ice in this freezer and after doing a little research this morning, apparently there's a lot of pretty cool science behind it.

I do it accidentally but my research shows that others apparently do it on purpose, which makes me smile! :)

I pulled this info from: CalTech.edu and here's what they had to say about it, in case you were wondering...

"Ice spikes are odd ice structures that occasionally grow out of ice cube trays. Unlike some of the strange things you might find growing in your refrigerator, ice spikes are made of nothing but ice. Ice spikes are the result of physics, not biology. Ice spikes grow as the water in an ice cube tray turns to ice. The water first freezes on the top surface, around the edges of what will become the ice cube. The ice slowly freezes in from the edges, until just a small hole is left unfrozen in the surface. At the same time, while the surface is freezing, more ice starts to form around the sides of the cube.

Since ice expands as it freezes, the ice freezing below the surface starts to push water up through the hole in the surface ice (see diagram). If the conditions are just right, then water will be forced out of the hole in the ice and it will freeze into an ice spike, a bit like lava pouring out of a hole in the ground to makes a volcano. But water does not flow down the sides of a thin spike, so in that way it is different from a volcano. Rather, the water freezes around the rim of the tube, and thus adds to its length. The spike can continue growing taller until all the water freezes, cutting off the supply, or until the tube freezes shut. The tallest spike we've seen growing in an ordinary ice cube tray was 56mm (2.2in) long. Most ice cube trays produce a few spikes, but usually only if distilled water is used. Millions of people make ice cubes every day using ordinary tap water, and most don't see ice spikes. Oddly enough, some people often get plenty of ice spikes using ordinary tap water, but this appears to be rare."

Well, my Ice Spikes must be the rare type because they were made with water right out of the tap.

Dear cookie cutters: For some reason, I love you. I see you in the store and I must have you (especially when you're on clearance!!).

My sister's creations.. we had FUN!

So the title of this totally explains itself, but I seriously have grown to love cookie cutters over the past few months. I've always loved using them with my mom and sister around Christmas time. It's one of the things we normally do during the holidays (bake and decorate cutie cookies) and this year wasn't any different. I also made custom cookies for all of my co-workers as gifts this year. Fun, fun, fun! I love giving the cookies their own little personalities... it's like a mini-painting or drawing, which is right up my alley!

My (wonderful and very patient) boyfriend allowed me to indulge myself as I looked at all of them for what seemed like a year and then he offered to buy them for me!!! Eeeeekkk!!! He got me 50 alphabet and number cut-outs... which I promptly used for New Year's cookies!!! Woop-woop! I LOVED making NYE (new year's eve) and 2011 cut-out cookies!

Since then I've purchased 3 more sets of cutters and held myself back from buying countless others. To defend myself, they were all under $3.00 per package... two of them I got on Christmas clearance at Walmart for $1.00 a piece! A steal in my book. My newest ones are the concentric hearts, which will definitely be used come early February! I'm ridiculously excited about that.

Sadly, when I get out of control making all of these cookies I rarely eat them all! And they are so pretty I have a hard time throwing them away... maybe that's why I still have a huge tub of New Year's cookies I can't part with (but will never eat at this point!!!)????? All I can do is laugh at myself and enjoy the creative process.
Alex's old one fell apart so we went down to the main DMV in Greenville in mid-December and got a new one for him. Now, keep in mind, he didn't "renew" his old license, he just had to get a replacement one. I say this because his is oriented vertically, where a typical one will actually be horizontal. If you're under 18 (or is it 21?) at the time the license is originally issued it will be the vertical layout you see below.

I just wanted to share because it took me (happily) by surprise! They replaced his for free since his old one was peeling and fading badly. A good deal if you ask me! And it only took about 15 minutes with the better systems the DMV is using these days. And with this new layout I feel like we are finally "with the times", just because so many other states have pretty nifty looking IDs already. Go us...? ha

What to you think about the new ID design? I want one!

p/s As a TIGER fan myself, I'm disappointed in the color choices of the ID.... this is Tiger country, is it not? ;-) hehe

I feel obligated to document this since it is my first, after all. I should have known this wrinkle was coming since my mother has an identical one in the same exact place, but it caught me off guard nonetheless!

One morning about a month ago I woke up to find a crease to the right of my nose that goes up towards my eye. What a weird place for a wrinkle. After much obsession, I've figured out that it's 100% caused by the way I sleep. I've tried desperately to sleep in different positions but apparently I can only be comfortable when I'm squishing my cheek into my nose... ha! I've actually lost a lot of sleep over this because I wake up often to try to make sure I'm not causing the wrinkle to get worse. As soon as I wake up I touch the spot to see how bad it is and it's the first thing (and last thing) I look at in the mirror. I think I'm taking things too far.

I finally broke down and bought some *gasp* L'Oréal wrinkle cream, specifically for fine lines. I've been trying my absolute best to use this morning, night and any other time I think of it to try and stop this little booger in its tracks! So far, I've been some-what successful. I know this stuff will take several weeks to over a month to really do its "thing" but I have noticed some improvement already. I'm really happy about that, but so bummed to see that my skin isn't as young as it used to be.

Basically, this entire thing was a wake-up call for my age. I mean, I'm only 28, but I still want to be 21! That was probably one of the best years of my life...I had total freedom. Ahhh the good ole days. Anyway... I'm really almost 29, which is even scarier. At 21 I just didn't know how fast the years would go by. I have almost 3 months (93 days to be exact) until the last birthday of my 20's occurs. I want to be able to look back and see that my 29th year was one of substance, not just one of obsessing over wrinkles, dark spots, slower metabolism and starting-to-semi-sag skin (although those things will still cross my mind 50x a day!).

So to wrap this all up, I will write one last ode to my first wrinkle:

Dear first wrinkle: Although I still loathe you, I also thank you for reminding me of how quickly life is passing me by and to make the best and most of the rest of the days given to me. I also hope you aren't immune to my anti-wrinkle cream and will be a good little line and just GO AWAY. :)

p/s, is it time for me to get one of these face masks yet? If it works, I may have to! ha!
What? Does this sound as crazy to you as it does to me? Snowmaggedon 2011 has definitely made an impression on all of us. I had a lot of fun with it at first... spend the majority of Monday, the first day of fresh snow, playing and taking pictures with Alex and taking on my own personal mission of the biggest snowman I could make on my own (accomplished, by the way!!). It has left me dog tired, which is kind of humerous to me. But now, I'm over it.
I've stayed home from work for 3 days and including the weekend I've been off 5 straight days unplanned. The first day was awesome, and even most of the second day, but today was basically torture to be stuck at home. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the time to myself, but not when it's forced on me. The roads in my apt community finally dried up for the most part, with a lot of hard work from their maintenance crew (except the several areas where there are heavy trees and speed bumps! Eek!). It fooled me into thinking the roads on the outside would be just as clear. NOT SO! That fact actually made me feel a little better about missing work - just that at least now I know it was more worth it to miss and be safe and I wasn't just overracting.

Alex and I also decided to walk to the gym around 5pm. Now keep in mind, the gym is right outside our back door, maybe 15 steps, and those steps where my scariest ones of the day! Our back patio is literally completely ice... a few inches thick on the majority of it, whith my purdy snow man in the middle, too. :) He's cool and all, but his frozen friends are not. Huge icicles had falled off the roof of the building, some a full inch+ thick. Those puppies could hurt someone for sure! Alex wasn't phased by this ice, of course, being born in Germany and living there for 17 years, plus he just got back from a 2 week skiing trip there, but it's a different story for me. I inched along the edge of the house, holding onto anything I could. Then we walked a few steps up the steep-ish hill to the gym steps and I was slow as a snail, while he jumped right up there. After the workout I was twice as nervous because the temp had dropped several degrees and frozen everything again. Bottom line, I made it home safe but totally stressed out! haha

So to make this long story short, because I could go on and on, I'm semi-sad to report the following:
1) My back hurts from sitting on the couch so much
2) All of my dreams each night have had a snow-theme to them. Mostly me waking up afraid that I had made up the big snow and was missing work unexcused and would be fired or some other nonsense.
3) The house isn't very clean, despite 72+ hours that I could have taken care of that in. Although I have cooked a TON and did clean all of those dishes each time. (Gold star for me!)

I am happy to share that:
1) I spent lots of time with my Alex and kittens
2) I got some art projects done!
3) I cut and made my fingernails and toenails look pretty and lovely
4) We burned tons of yummy smelling candles

Well, I hope you enjoyed my pointless post! :) Night!~*~LCA~*~http://www.blogger.com/profile/01452882436703463158noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-39843448637216501.post-28904101146049833872011-01-12T11:11:00.000-05:002011-01-12T11:11:23.413-05:00Junkmail, SchmunkmailI thought I'd share this with you today for a little giggle! It's supposed to snow majorly tonight and I'm super stoked! For now I'm just enjoying indulging in my girlie weekly shows... and loving it! Don't hate, but I loooove watching Sarah Palin's Alaska, Real Housewives (currently watching Atlanta but also love Beverly Hills) and House Hunter's on HGTV. To defend myself, I'll explain further... :)

I'm completely and totally into reality TV. I'd prefer it to actually BE reality, rather than rehearsed, but as long as it's funny and at least semi-entertaining, I'm down. I've enjoyed Sarah Palin's Alaska because it has really showcased what the state itself has to offer. I never realized how diverse and BEAUTIFUL it was, but now I'm stoked to go visit it. And if Alex, my boyfriend, has it his way one day, it will be our full-time home. I don't function well in cold climates, but the scenery and adventures that state holds has the potential to win me over!

For the Real Housewives, I like it because I love to witness their drama, knowing it has NOTHING to do with me! ha! I've definitely encountered some drama in my days, but I'm happy (and proud) to say those days are gone, gone, gone. It's also so fun/funny to see how seriously these woman take themselves and their house"lives". A very few of them are straight up, the rest are cray-cray in my book. They also make me daydream of what I would/could do with the money they have at their fingertips! haha

For HGTV, my mom got me hooked on this as a child. I've always LOVED cooking and decorating shows and the passion for me only grows! I especially love any of the House Hunters, Income Property, Property Virgins, My First Place and For Rent (this one I can really relate to at work!). I love anything to do with realestate, looking at houses, apartments, etc and imagining how everything will be set up. In another life, I want to be Jodi Gilmour, except in the US, not Canada.. hehe.

Well, I'm off to dream about the overnight snow we're supposed to be getting here. It's supposed to be the biggest snow we've had since I was 5 or 6 years old back in the mid 80's. We shall see soon enough, won't we?! I'd love to build a monumental snow man tomorrow! xxxxxFINGERSCROSSEDxxxxx

I'm really looking forward to this event! If you're not familiar with the website http://www.houseparty.com/, when you host a House Party you're a VIP: You get sneak previews of the best TV shows, free stuff, and the best offers out there on the things we (or at least I!) really like. The best part is, it's all totally FREE! If you'd like me to send you a referral I'll be happy to - just let me know!

I've applied for several more food-related events (because who doesn't love to eat?!) but for now I'm very excited and honored to have been chosen to host this party.

Other than that, I'm currently getting my weekly fix of the RHWOBH (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills). This cast (and ATL) are probably my favs. I love the watch the drama of their lives unfold, especially knowing I am only a spectator!

I'm just sayin'. I'm in my 4th go-round of watching all the episodes and I still love it just as much, if not more, than the first time.

Also... random... if I had played the LOST "numbers" in the Mega Millions lottery last night I would have won $150. Ha! Not much, but I would take it!!! The LOST numbers matched 4 out of the 6 actual winning numbers. Next time, I'll go with my gut, and play those numbers on a big jackpot! So don't copy me, ok? :)
Back to LOST. If you watch it, you'll know what I'm talking about, but in Season 5, why is Sun the only one left on the plane (of the Oceanic 6) after it crashes again on the island? Everyone else is "zapped" out and are placed in different areas of the island. I guess it was necessary to do in order to continue the story line of she and Jin trying to meet back up, but it still seems like an "off" part of the story. Oh well; it makes for sweet TV.

As a side note, I also really like Juliet and Sawyer together... adorable. Too bad it gets ruined/halted when the rest of the crew shows up.

At least it would be pretty darn sweet to land in the 70's and get to relive that groovy time and drive a hippy bus! Maybe I should do some artwork inspired by this show, since I love it so much?!~*~LCA~*~http://www.blogger.com/profile/01452882436703463158noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-39843448637216501.post-1027197302152925982011-01-04T23:42:00.000-05:002011-01-04T23:42:42.254-05:00I'm baaaaaaack!So, I'm back. Yippy for me (and you)!
I am starting this back to link into my new website and business venture, Fine Art by LC. I'd like to use this space to catelog thoughts, ideas, inspiration, opinions, happenings and experiences. I hope you'll follow along with me!

Let's start with something fun and inspiring... and yes, it's Internet related, which I am obsessed with! The websites that have been sucking me in the most include:

http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/

http://poppytalkhandmade.com/

http://www.etsy.com/

Check them out and let me know what you think! They inspire me and push me forward. So many talented people on these sites, and so many more out there still yet to be discovered! I hope to be one of them one day, which is why I started my Etsy site, new website and got back to the blog.

Well, that's it for my start-back blog... off to bed now after (sadly) not winning the 330M+ Mega Millions Jackpot 2nite... welp, there's always Friday's drawing! ;) haha
Here are some updates...

It's been a pretty busy last week and a half or so. STILL waiting on the arrival of my Mary Kay car. I am convinced the car dealership is holding my car hostage. Other people got their cars this week... is it really that hard to ship a car to Greenville, SC?

On a brighter note my "business month" is off to a great start! We already have 3 new business partners and I expect to get 2 more tomorrow! I am in awe of our team and how we seem to get stronger and stronger each month. It feels so good to have a successful business that I run myself from the comfort of my own home. I love all my friends and couldn't really ask for more!

I have another business meeting with BB&T tomorrow to start hosting classes to educate my MK Unit on money management, credit scores, etc. Who knows, I might get another free lunch out of it! I'm not sure why they want to help me out so much but I won't complain - I'll just accept their help and be thankful!

~~~~~~~
I had an interesting experience yesterday when Brandon had me try an Indian restaurant for the first time. The bread we had was my favorite by far but the overall meal was great too. The funniest part was when we ordered a vegetarian platter for our appetizer and I was cutting everything in half and asking him what everything was and his response every time was "I have no idea." I couldn't stop laughing at first. We were the only couple in the restaurant (they had juts opened for the night) so our conversation was really loud for everyone to hear (or at least it felt loud to me!). After the meal 2 different waiters kept coming by asking me if I liked my meal and wanted to know why I didn't eat it all...... I'm sorry people, but I can't eat 5lbs of food in one sitting! Apparently I hurt the cooks feelings or something...?
When we paid the bill they gave us both a pack of "Chewing Mix" that the waiter said was a breath freshner. The entire package was illegible to me so I opened it and man, was I surprized by the contents. I guess I expected normal looking gum or candy but neither was in that package. It smelled sick - it looked like potpourri. I can't remember exactly what it was but basically spices, flowers, etc. I dared Brandon to pour the whole thing in his mouth... he did and I've never seen such a sick and shocked look on his face. One plus I'll give it was it got rid of the smell of the curry chicken he ate...haha. Interesting experience to say the least. :)~*~LCA~*~http://www.blogger.com/profile/01452882436703463158noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-39843448637216501.post-46738205206552888352008-01-31T02:59:00.000-05:002008-01-31T00:06:00.366-05:00This post has no title.I feel like I'm using this thing has a diary... =P But it's my blog so I guess I'm allowed to do that!
My neighbor is an adorable Spanish woman named Maria. Had a meeting with 2 loan specialists to work out a deal to help my new MK consultants establish a positive credit rating. That just makes me feel awesome; knowing I can help someone like that in the long run of life. I cleaned the house like a crazy person, had 7 guests over tonight for facials and training and then chatted with Courtney like a crazy lady... we both have the gift of gab. ;-) haha
I am thrilled to say January is coming together in a great way! I am also participating in the Greenville festival this Sat. I will definitely be busy calling people but it will soooo be worth it!
And lastly... I am watching some David Blaine show. He just did a card trick for the audience (aka me sitting at home) and said to pick a card. I picked a card and that was the one he showed on the screen. Creepy... he is one talented FOOL! The sad part is, he was dead serious.
Also: Just a note: If someone calls you and you don't wish to speak to them, please know that it is impolite to hang up the phone on them. After watching this show about them I think I'll enjoy the actual pageant better because now I feel like I "know" them... may sound lame but it's my entertainment for the night! I've been on the go a lot so this will be a welcomed break! :D Go miss South Carolina!
And double dork: I'm watching a rerun of Miss America 2007 right now on CMT.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

MTV's the Real World: I want someone I know to be on this show!

I spent part of last week begging my sister to send in a tape for this show, only to find out the deadline was like last Wed or something. Boo! Next year I am making her do it; I think she is the perfect candidate, whether she knows it or not. Maybe I can send in a secret entry for her?

My parents would probably fall-out if that ever happened (aka if she was on the show) but I would be thrilled. I know that show is crazy but I still love it. I am just a big people-watcher and love nearly any show that allows me to do that (RW, Big Brother, Bad Girl's Club, True Life, etc). I admit I'm a reality show lover.

I think I am too told to try out for the Real World now but I would like to send in stuff for Big Brother, only I don't think I can since my dad works for CBS. What other shows can I be on?~*~LCA~*~http://www.blogger.com/profile/01452882436703463158noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-39843448637216501.post-56761282515330667192008-01-22T00:51:00.000-05:002008-01-22T01:10:38.011-05:00another haircut, puppies and car news!Sooooo my original haircut was too boring and since I was feeling brave today I decided to get it cut several inches shorter. I figured since I was going short I may as well go all the way and get something really cute! So far I am LOVING it! It's so cute!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6nEl4UVU4xHZ_pWdZmasSFuENGJXE8gjAIAgsbLFDJYwyHKkYyX0uuruVl3VBfLgLsxNNkzqPmPZKee9FOXamn_1hAx3m8C34x9t3N_gCPJJY3dEMWJAuGZQtZ84LyYAAv-6l44LjOg/s320/IMG_3048.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158175628376072514" />

My mom, sister and I also got to visit the new litter of sheltie puppies that were born 5 weeks ago! We are going to be getting one of these sweet little babies in just a few weeks. The hardest part will be deciding which one; they are so precious! We had so much fun laying in the floor and playing with them. 2 are tri-color and 1 is a blue merle. I can't wait to have another little critter to love!

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUWjj_5YpNuNgFq9UZ3nawY5edjD-lAK8BeLp5VGXzJHZSbdQhROBner2wqurzSlyEj4yWOII5fEFgRIGXXi50R0AhOgw6f0mS385gl4CoGUBpP3zYdqRoslgUv2xT1vbzIwL3QT-0Pg/s320/IMG_3016.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158177007060574546" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtVBbWKIsTJS7LhZsIi5_y1AHFpG5suct8izFtDbPE2RqGp-X_TM_a1YslEhqd7Pg9r7ur5sgxlYuML5tIdutNTGQibo4V099912R7AAzJX_U8qXF03g_NgPCL-HzLfDPrnpN878kZ_Q/s320/IMG_3019.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158177621240897890" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBXTDbmkIvHsiqv0-GxiNmwtxzIflkOiDiUEbvlTKK_2rKBLofvfjsRKyzY7_ezlUm1Bv93e3lCNeyxwUCURAD3MdyfdX3-TXmlV03Ob06dIlBAwyXF9CNdHqNSW05s7C1YmyX48-zyw/s320/IMG_3027.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158178458759520626" />

I also found out today that my new Mary Kay car is expected to be delivered to the dealership sometime this week!!!!
